Conceptual Design 1582 is an updated and smaller version of The Ferris house plan 1405. The Craftsman exterior features simple siding accented with shutters, metal roofing, and a center dormer. The gables are highlighted with decorative brackets and a stone skirt enhances the exterior.

The front porch opens to a foyer with an adjoining bedroom/study and a coat closet and storage closet are nearby. The great room is cozy with a coffered ceiling and fireplace while double doors exit to a rear porch with skylights. The kitchen enjoys ample seating at the island and a window over the sink offers front views. A pantry and dining room are just steps away. The garage provides multiple storage closets, a work area, and a side-door for outdoor access. Inside the garage entry, find a drop zone with built-in storage, a coat closet, and nearby linen closets.

The master bedroom is topped with a cathedral ceiling and enjoys a luxurious master bathroom with a walk-in shower, dual-sink vanity, freestanding bathtub, and a skylight. The massive walk-in closet connects to the utility room for convenience and the utility room can also be accessed from the hallway.

A large bedroom and bathroom complete the first floor and a bonus room is upstairs for a guest suite, media room, home gym, or future expansion.

We really like this plan a lot. We have been looking for one with the Master suite closet connected to the utility. Is it possible to add some square footage and a third garage bay? We are looking for something like this but closer to 2000 sq ft on the main floor. Is this plan still available for modifications?

I always think it’s a good idea to have a powder room close to the kitchen. Perhaps it could be added to the laundry room.

Love this floor plan! Would love to see if you could change/remove the pantry and stairs leading up and create a basement foundation with stairs leading down in that space? If there is some extra space, could a pocket office be in that space too?

This is an excellent balanced plan. Having a view to the front yard/street is rare in most new plans. A proper mudroom right at the garage entrance is lacking and I always prefer to see a plan with a basement access stairs.
