Conceptual Plan 1658 is an updated version of The Tanglewood house plan 757 and The Gemma house plan 1587. This rustic Craftsman design features a mix of horizontal and vertical siding while shutters and decorative gable trusses enhance curb appeal. The side-entry garage offers two bays and storage options.

The front porch leads into an open floor plan with a dining room topped with a tray ceiling, a vaulted great room, and an island kitchen. Thoughtful amenities include a coat closet in the foyer, a pantry, and an efficient utility room. A rear porch with a cathedral ceiling invites outdoor relaxation.

The master suite is private with a tray ceiling and large windows. Continue into the master bathroom with a double vanity, walk-in shower, freestanding bathtub, and an attached walk-in closet. Across the floor plan, two additional bedrooms share a full bathroom with a dual vanity and a linen closet.

For a small plan, this one has attractive features. I would offer one suggestion: Make the family entrance from the garage separate from the utility room (washer/dryer). Have a big coat closet and a space for landing the mail and packages. When we come home, we like a pleasant, welcoming entrance--not the washer/dryer (probably stacked with baskets of laundry waiting to be done)!

  Hi Niki! Yes, we offer a standard basement option on all of our completed house plans. This would be a fully underground, unfinished basement.
