Conceptual House Plan 6001

Leave us your feedback and suggestions at the bottom of this post!

Conceptual house plan 6001 is a redesign of The Charlotte plan 1363. The square footage is increased with an additional bedroom and the garage has been moved to the side of the home.

The front facade features symmetrical gables and an arched front porch entry. Stone accents complement cedar shakes and siding, along with a metal accent roof. The two-car garage is entered from the front and additional storage is available inside. A secondary front porch offers homeowners entry to the home through the mud room. The garage also exits to a convenient rear porch. The open great room with fireplace flows into a spacious dining area with coffered ceiling. The gourmet kitchen centers around an island with bar seating and a prep sink. A desk nook is nearby, along with a walk-in pantry. Additional highlights on the main floor include a wet bar, over-sized utility room, luxury master suite with sitting room, a bedroom study with a full bathroom, and a powder room. Outdoor spaces expand livability with multiple porches, open and screened, and a patio.

Three additional bedrooms are upstairs and share a library with built-in shelves and an open reading nook. The bonus room awaits future expansion and a second staircase provides another route to access the first floor. Perfect for carting laundry to the utility room or to grab a midnight snack!

I would love to see the mudroom porch lengthened so that access to the rear porch to happen, thus opening up the house for families with older children or whatever. The upstairs is accessible from the front and the back of the house.

Would love to see a home with the garage as an extension of the rear of the house. The lr and dr in the front, the kitchen, keeping room, great room, and laundry going out the back, and the mbr on the opposite end. We need a 3 br, with 2 br up, with a connecting j+j bath between. No other rooms up and over 3000 sq ft down. Come up with that and we’ll buy it immediately. Hate garages that are viewable from the front of the house....

Is there going to be a basement stair option?

Hi Mark, If Conceptual Design 6001 is chosen for completion, we will offer the option of adding a basement foundation.

I would love to see a bump out in the dining room for a built-in buffet along the outer wall. A third bay in the garage would be great. Does this have an option to have a basement?

Thank you for the feedback, Denise! If this design is chosen for completion and added to our portfolio, we would offer an alternate unfinished basement foundation.

This plan could be the one! I wouldn't be a fan of the butler pantry change suggested below, as a useful storage pantry is a necessity for me, and as such, it wouldn't be appropriate as a walk through to living area. The only change I would request would be more closet space, coat hooks, shoe shelves & bench space in the mud room area.

This home is at the very high end of our market. I like Kayla and Tina's suggestions though I would keep the wet bar, remove the desk and expand the pantry. I do like an additional, yet smaller dishwasher.

I love this floor plan. My only suggestions are to remove the desk area, make that the entry to the pantry. I would make the pantry a butlers pantry and put the wet bar and maybe an additional dishwasher there (only because the dining is so open, most people are getting away from formal dining rooms with curios to show China and glasses. Adding a butlers pantry will allow families (like mine) to have a nice size trestle table that could possibly seat 8-10 with ease.
