Conceptual house plan 6002 is a two-story version of The Cedar Court plan 5004. The European-inspired exterior features a grand portico entry with French doors and a Palladian window. Twin gables and a center dormer create symmetry. This luxury home is wrapped in stone and cedar shakes. A courtyard entry garage features two full bays, a small bay for a golf cart or smaller vehicle and a storage closet or flexible work space.

The service entry of the home includes a mudroom with coat closet and a drop zone for keys, bags and shoes. Just steps away, find a pantry, over-sized utility room, and additional storage. The gourmet kitchen offers a cook-top island and a bar counter that overlooks the great room with fireplace. A spacious dining room leads the way to a stunning screened porch that extends to provide all-around views and has a fireplace to keep warm on cooler nights. With multiple access points, the rear covered porch will provide the ultimate enjoyment. The master suite is truly luxurious with an impressive tray ceiling and a cozy sitting room. The massive walk-in closet is divided to accommodate two wardrobes and a dressing room with built-in drawers is an easy space to plan and accessorize outfits. The master bathroom is a spa retreat from the comfort of home with a walk-in shower, soaking bathtub and a double sink vanity. Completing the first floor is a large bedroom with walk-in closet and full bathroom and a study/library with built-in shelves to house an extensive book or art collection.

Two sets of stairs lead upstairs. One set leads to a private bonus room with a full bathroom. This space makes a perfect guest suite or rental room. The other staircase leads to the main upstairs living space with two large bedrooms and a bathroom with a double sink vanity separated from the rest of the bath. Multiple storage closets and built-in bookshelves allow for easy organization.

I would like a little larger front porch and an alternate garage that does not stick out so far from the house. I love the curved back porch and lay out of the master bedroom.

Also, I could use one garage where utility room is located 14x24 with bump out on back for my garden storage with potting sink. The other 2 garages could go at back of house buying kitchen, all side entry garages. I also want house width no more than 100' wide

This plan has big potential. However, one thing that I've never seen an architectural firm do is to give the potential plan buyer the option of relocating the garage to the right side, with all three garage bays facing the front. The current L-shape of the plan makes sense, since most vacant home lots might not have 150 feet or more of width for a home's envelope, of say 116 feet, to properly fit. So the L-shape of the home's envelope will work for many lot owners, but some may have a five-acre lot, that is say 400 feet wide, where the L-shape doesn't make sense. So, please give potential plan buyers the option of relocating the garage to the right side, with all bays facing the street.

Is it possible to offer this without the angled dining space. Also, I agree with Hope about bumping out the kitchen. Also, is there away, via hall, to connect the bonus space to the upstairs. For us, that would be an upstairs master for our adult children when they visit. As it stands now, the grands would have difficulties locating their parents.

Love how the stair placement turns it into a light well. Also like how the dining room and screened porch come off at an angle. I do see an issue with the coat closet jutting out into the mudroom. It needs to be flush with stairs and enlarged.

Really like this one! Would love to see the kitchen bumped out to the right a little further to gain some more space (maybe to the same level as the utility room)? Maybe that would allow the stove to be moved off the island as I agree with Amanda. :) We've been looking for years for a plan that fits our needs and I think this is one of the closest I've seen- really hope it makes it out of conceptualization!

Love this one! I'm glad to see your designs move away from two separate, small master walk-in closets! The only thing I would personally change about this is the kitchen configuration, as I HATE stoves on islands. Personal choice though! I do love that the sink is in front of a window. That's a must-have for me.
