Conceptual Design 1609 is a walkout basement version of Conceptual Design 1525. This modern farmhouse features a board-and-batten exterior with metal roof accents and shutters framing the windows. This design features a two-car, side-entry garage and a third bay with a front entry. Columns highlight the large front porch and double doors create a welcoming entry.

The foyer offers a coat closet and leads the way to the great room with a fireplace, built-in shelving, and a cathedral ceiling that runs into the open dining room. Luxurious outdoor living is available through rear doors with a screened porch with skylights. The gourmet kitchen offers a front facing window above the sink and centers around a spacious island. A powder room, walk-in pantry and window nook are nearby. The garage enters the home through a mud room with a drop zone, two closets, and an adjoining utility room. The master suite is topped with a vaulted ceiling with decorative beams and opens to the rear porch. The master bathroom is a true retreat with a dual sink vanity, freestanding bathtub, walk-in shower, and a skylight. The oversized master closet connects to the utility room for added convenience. A second master suite or office is on the first floor with a walk-in closet, multiple smaller storage closets, and a full bathroom.

Downstairs, find a media/game room with built-in shelves and a fireplace. Two bedrooms each have a walk-in closet and a private bathroom. A secondary utility room and a powder room provide convenience. Homeowners will enjoy multiple storage locations and a workshop. An optional bonus room and bathroom are upstairs for expansion.

I'd like to see cabinets continue through the nook n the kitchen. I am concerned though that the windows at the kitchen sink and subsequently at the nook are lower that the top of the lower cabinet. How are you resolving that issue? In the basement, I'd like to see an optional kitchen/dining/pantry so that it could be used as an "apartment" or mother-in-law wing.

Thank you for your feedback, Brenda! Since this is just a conceptual plan, the windows may not be drawn to scale. In our final engineered plans, we would make sure that the specified window sizes would fit and be place above the countertops. Please let us know if you have other questions - 1-800-388-7580.

I could find a way to see the concept plan 1525. We can’t have a basement so 1609 isn’t exactly what we are looking for.
