Conceptual Design 1620 is an updated version of The Sloan floor plan with a contemporary façade. This house plan features slanted rooflines and large modern windows. The siding is complemented by stone and metal accent roofing while dramatic double doors create a grand entrance.

Thoughtfully designed, the foyer opens to a coat closet for easy storage and a powder room for guests. The great room and island kitchen share a vaulted ceiling. On either side of the kitchen, find a breakfast nook and a formal dining room. A pantry is near the garage entry for effortless grocery storage and a drop zone is the ideal space to keep shoes, bags, and coats organized. A massive utility room is adjoining with a laundry sink, ample cabinetry and counter space, and access to a side porch.

Expansive glass opens the floor plan to rear views and a screened porch with a fireplace welcomes outdoor enjoyment year-round. When the weather is nice, take entertaining and dining outdoors with a built-in kitchen with grill.

The master bedroom features a vaulted ceiling and a wall of windows. In the master bathroom, find a double sink vanity, an angled freestanding bathtub, and a walk-in shower. An adjoining linen closet and walk-in closet complete the master suite. To the opposite side of the floor plan, two additional bedrooms share a bathroom with a double vanity and a linen closet.

This plan caught my eye, as I like the style a lot. I would change a few things, like having the 2 eating areas. I'm not quite sure about how the kitchen is laid out, specifically the sink/dishwasher second island. I'm not crazy about long hallways, but in this case, think I'd push the kitchen to the back wall and remove the doorway to the master.

      1) front elevation seems BUSY. too much going on. simplify. try some HORIZONTAL lines 2) many famalies want 2 living spaces. 3) bigger walk in closet in primary bed room.

Many DG house plans have very, very busy front facades. Usually, though, that adds to the curb appeal. In this house, however, the roof lines look very haphazard.
