The Flynn family is building The Mitchell house plan 1413-D. They are constructing their dream home with some modifications to fit their needs. With an expanded bonus room, they are estimating 9469 sq ft under roof! They plan to finish the basement and main floor now, and leave the bonus room for future expansion when it’s needed. Follow the progress in this Rendering to Reality series!

It’s never too early to start planning ahead if you are building or just redecorating in 2019. Sherwin-Williams has announced their Color of the Year for 2019 as Cavern Clay (SW7701). It’s perfect timing, as this hue is also a great fall color. If you’re not ready commit to a new paint color or even an accent wall, you can still draw inspiration from this earthy shade in your home decor. Cacti and succulents are a huge trend in home decor right now and just planting a few in terracotta pots is a great and subtle way to introduce this warm shade into your home.
